She's been on the scene for a minute now, but singer Janelle Monae has recently been starting to come into the spotlight with her management by Diddy and her first studio album "The ArchAndroid" coming out on May 18th. I absolutely love her music and style and have been seeing many natural chicks replicating her signature 'do.

NLM's own @realifecitygirl pulled off this style with a dry twist-out on her hair.
There are many other ways to tweak the style in your favor. I want to try it out myself on blown-out hair. I plan on doing a deep condition and then blow-drying out my hair. After, I will do a loose French braid up to the crown of my head and then pinning the rest of the hair at the top into that same "hump."
